What with how I haven't made an installment since somewhere around the pre-Ford era, this article might be a bit poorly named. But we're just going to skip right on past that possible tangent and focus on what's really important (yes ladies and gents, the music).
The drive to revive this series comes with a show rolling through the city that probably shouldn't be missed. Brooklyn-based three piece Liars is popping by on Saturday in support of their latest Mute Records release, WIXIW (think: Wish You). While it's easy to give a bit of praise, this actually is one stunning album, and if you do a little googling, you'll see that the critics agree. And, with five other full lengths to their name, the experimental rock act has plenty more material to toss out on stage, and plenty of history to support a great stage show.
So, what more is there to say? Crack open those piggy banks, pick up a ticket, and spend a sweaty Saturday night in the audience at Lee's Palace. They do have air conditioning, after all.
Tickets are still available at Rotate This, Soundscapes, and possibly at the door. Maybe.
