Some time has slipped by since the last installment of my weekly choice, but what better way to get things back on track than with a show from one of my favourite local groups?

On Wednesday, Toronto indie rockers Wildlife will be playing their first show in the city after returning from a Westerly tour with Hollerado and Young Rival. To mark the occasion, they'll be sharing the Garrison stage with supporters Topanga, Chamberlin, and The Dirty Nil – an event that will be well worth the 8 dollar ticket price.

The Sticky team last saw Wildlife as an opening act at The Mod Club, where lead Dean Povinsky spent the whole set seated and fostering a bum leg, while the group still tore up the stage with a set surpassing the one they were supporting from Young The Giant. Now that a few months of healing are behind them, who knows what will come from the band with all limbs in order.
