Spend the night ushering in a local artist's long-awaited release.
The Tranzac
November 12th and 13th, 9pm
$10 adv., $12 at the door
It's been somewhere around four years since the release of Tiny Mirrors, an album that's stood strong as one of my favourite Canadian LP's from the moment I caught "The Drums" playing in some dingy bar in the Annex. Now, after nearly half a decade of me shifting impatiently and looking at my watch, Sandro Perri is back with the brilliant Impossible Spaces, and he's poised to officially kick it off with a two-night launch at The Tranzac.
The last time I saw him take the stage, I was just as impressed by his live sound as I was by his studio work, so I'm putting my weight behind his appearances on the 12th and 13th as shows you shouldn't miss.
And if you're not quick, miss them you might. Because, despite all of this luxurious advanced notice, The Tranzac's capacity tops out at a meagre 150 people. So, if you're sold on seeing Sandro next week, you might want to drop what you're doing and go grab yourself a ticket.
