Come celebrate the lastest release from some great local talent.
The Horseshoe Tavern
Monday, September 5th, 10pm (Opening act at 9pm)
Free, 19+
For this week's recommendation, I'm steering clear of the big names completely and pointing you in the direction of some newer local talent, as Toronto's Inlet Sound ramps up for a free appearance at the Horseshoe to mark the release of their new EP, Dream Awake. The band will be joined on the bill by Stone Set and Youth Season, with a 10pm set that will leave you with plenty of time for sleep before kicking off the short work week.
For a little taste, take a look at the video below for the track, "The Peculiar Disappearance Of Marion Bojangles." While the group hasn't been together long, they've honed a fresh, dreamy folk sound on their latest recording, working in just enough pop to give their live performance a kick — a performance that'll be well worth checking out to cap off the long weekend, especially when you won't have to open your wallet at the door.
