This Friday, the folks at Young Lions Music Club and Mill Street Brewery will be giving life to something a little strange, with a new event they've fittingly dubbed Strange Brew - an evening promising four of our arguably favourite things: delicious food, great beer, rock music, and, well, the unusual.
Alongside party tunes by way of Dwayne Gretzky, Jumple, and The Goldendogs, you'll be able to fill those bellies with eats from the city's best food trucks and with beer from a dozen of the province's leading craft breweries. And, to add that bit of the strange, there'll be performances by a clan of sideshow weirdos (their words, not ours). Fittingly, the whole evening will be held at Metropolis Factory - a huge converted power plant that "holds more than enough of its aesthetic from its early days to aptly host the strangest party of the summer."
While advance tickets are already sold out, the team plans to have limited access on the night of the event, so check out Young Lions Music Club social feeds and you might just be lucky enough to get yourself access at the door.
