With Queen and Spadina looking like a scene out of a post-apocolyptic movie (due to TTC streetcar track replacement), it seemed people were avoiding the intersection. Although the venue was uncomfortably quiet for Dane Hartsell's opening set, a small group of fans showed up for both The Archives and Jordan Cook.

The Rest

After an evening out with friends, I dropped by The Drake Underground to see The Rest perform in celebration of the release of their full-length album Seesaw. Shimmering guitars and sincere vocals were balance by an electric cello and keyboards. Adam Bently (vocals, guitar) and the other band members did a great job varying between the more gentle compositions and the louder material.
