Frankie Whyte and I have been connected via social media for over four years now, but our schedules just never seemed to be in sync. And then finally, on a night when she and her band of Dead Idols were scheduled to open for Andrew W.K., we finally met through the lens.
Andrew W.K.
Headlining the show was Andrew W.K., the self-proclaimed King Of Partying, who I've seen once before back in 2009 at the F-U Awards. And just like that time, he had a party on stage to add emphasis to his party-themed songs.
Frankie Whyte And The Dead Idols
If you were to track Frankie Whyte And The Dead Idols over the past few years, you would have noticed that they have opened for some seriously famous bands, such as Bon Jovi and KISS. And it's easy to see why — their music reflects the music of past greats such as Joan Jett, Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper, and Def Leopard causing them to fit in brilliantly with those kinds of shows. They are all about rock!
Aleister X
Sandwiched between Frankie Whyte and Andrew W.K. was the fairly mysterious and unique Aleister X.
