Apples in Stereo Create New Musical Scale Along With New Album

Apples in Stereo

The psychedelic power-pop band Apples in Stereo return in April with their 7th album, Travellers In Space And Time.

The band has been signed to Elijah Wood's label Simian Records since 2006. But what’s more interesting than that, is Robert Schneider's (lead guitar, vocals) invention of a Non-Pythagorean Musical Scale. Schneider released a video on the band's website that explains how he came up with the scale by generating tones through an audio program. Their song "C.P.U." on their upcoming album is the first song written to the new scale and hopefully not the last.
