If you plan on walking the streets of Toronto next Tuesday, September 21, make sure you’ve got lots of change on you.
The third annual Busking For Change festival will take place the same day as International Peace Day through the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Participants such as Raine Maida, KO, The Midway State, The Reason, Make Your Exit, The Balconies, Paper Lions, and so many other Canadian artists will be busking throughout downtown Toronto to raise money for War Child, an organization that works around with world with children affected by war.
Busking For Change began in 2007 when Raine Maida spent twelve hours busking on the busy street corners of Toronto to promote his album, The Hunter’s Lullaby. Maida’s efforts raised $22,000 which went towards building new schools in Congo.
